Therapy Practice and Methodology

Thought – Emotion – Behavior

Our perception of the world directly influences our emotions, which in turn condition our behavior.

The process that I propose is to understand the neurological mechanisms and the analysis of the environment or surroundings which trigger and reveal your situation. 7 to 9 sessions are generally enough to see improvement in your situation.

In close collaboration, we define from the start of the program the objective of the therapy and the expected duration of the therapeutic process. This approach is accompanied by analyses, problem-solving techniques and practical exercises to be carried out between consultations.

You will gradually acquire the essential skills and tools to provide concrete and lasting solutions to your situation.

This collaborative work aims in particular to enable you to recognize and remedy negative automatic thought patterns and limiting belief systems that cause a repetitive pattern. It facilitates the improvement of interactions with the environment and interpersonal relationships (those around you).

By replacing dysfunctional thoughts with adapted thoughts, an authentic and lasting change in behavior takes place.

Our session

1

A 45-minute session, one session every 2 weeks

2

I will receive you in my office. We begin with an interview about what brings you to therapy

3

A therapy session is a time spent exploring thoughts, emotions and behaviors

4

In a climate of trust, we study the triggers and prepare for positive change (moving from opposition to positive intention)

5

We implement therapeutic actions to modify automatic thoughts and cognitive distortions triggered by previously identified stimuli

6

We assess the relapse problem and implement an adaptation strategy to alleviate the problem over time and achieve your goal

7

Each session will be the subject of a summary of your progress towards achieving the objective
